Shipping Methods & Pricing

We are based in North Carolina, USA, and offer both domestic and international shipping using the United States Postal Service (USPS) and United Parcel Service (UPS) methods presented below. Every package we ship comes with a tracking number that is emailed to you as we process your order.

Domestic U.S. Shipping Methods

We ship to all 50 states, D.C., Puerto Rico, all U.S. territories, and any APO that you are able to select from the state dropdown when you enter your address. Please note we have made some changes to our shipping options recently. We no longer ship guitars via USPS. All guitars are shipped via UPS Ground. We have found this to be the most reliable and economical method to ensure you guitar arrives safely and in a timely manner.

  • $3.95 — all domestic U.S. orders below $50.00 FREE — all domestic U.S. orders of $50.00 or more (exclusive of sales tax and ASN eGift Cards)

International Shipping Methods

We ship to most countries. If you are able to select your country from the dropdown when you enter your address, we ship there!

However, we are no longer offering our standard shipping options for overseas guitar orders as they are cost-prohibitive. We suggest you use third-party shipping services such as MyUS.com where you can choose from almost all of the standard carriers at much-reduced prices

Please use a third-party shipping handler such as MyUS.Com to arrange for shipping of guitars. We will pay for shipping of any guitar or item valued at $50.00 or more to any shipping handler based in the continental US. The customer will make arrangements and pay for shipping from the domestic shipping handler to the final destination. There is a $200 US documentation and handling fee for customs and export documentation for guitars. Customers are responsible for all duties and taxes of the destination country

USPS First-Class Package International
Price based on the total order weight, package size, and your shipping address outside the USA2; not available for orders above $400.00 or packages above 4 pounds

    • We no longer ship guitars via USPS First Class Package International. Please use a third-party shipping handler such as MyUS.com for excellent rates
  • Transit time and tracking ability vary by destination — delivery may take a month or longer; tracking often stops at the last U.S. location (usually Miami, Florida)

USPS Priority Mail International
Price based on the total order weight, package size, and your shipping address outside the USA2; in some countries, this method may not be available for very large packages (guitars, etc.)

  • We no longer ship guitars via USPS Priority Mail International. Please use a third-party shipping handler such as MyUS.com for excellent rates
  • 6–10 business days to most major markets, with occasional delays; tracking is usually updated all along the way

USPS Priority Mail Express International

If your country does notappear in the dropdown in the address form, there’s probably a U.S. governement-imposed reason for it. Feel free to inquire— we’ll investigate the matter and, if the reason for the exclusion has been lifted, we’ll gladly add your country to the “allowed” list. Otherwise, we sincerely apologize, but we won’t be able to make exceptions in this regard.
  2. B. Certain products cannot be shipped to certain countries because of the import restrictions imposed by those countries. If that is the case, the website will not allow you to add the prohibited products to your shopping cart and you will see an on-screen message to that effect.

B. We have no control over additional fees, such as import duty, import taxes or other fees charged by the destination country’s carrier or government. Those fees vary from country to country and are the responsibility of the Customer.


Shipping Schedule

In-Stock Items

We cannot guarantee exact delivery times as they depend on third-party carriers. We do, however, guarantee the following processing schedule for all in-stock items: All orders received before 6 pm Eastern U.S. time ship the next business day, EXCEPT if we are setting up your musical instrument. Good setups take time, and with the volume of instrument orders we are receiving, plan on 5-10 business days after the receipt of your order to complete the setup and shipment of your instrument. We want to make sure you have the best possible playing experience. We want you to be absolutely delighted with your new instrument, so give us the time to make sure we can do the job correctly. If you have special delivery requirements give us a call and we’ll do everything possible to accommodate you. Business days are Monday to Friday, except the following federal holidays:

Out-of-Stock and Special Order Items

Please contact us to inquire about the expected availability of specific out-of-stock items and the expected turnaround time for specific special-order items. We do have a back-in-stock notification system in place. Kindly use it and our system will send out an email to you to let you know when the item is back in stock.


Returns & Replacements

Musical Instruments

All of our stock instruments — guitars, guileles, and ukuleles — are shipped on approval. We will gladly issue a full refund less shipping and insurance (both ways) if you notify us of your intention to return the instrument within 3 days of its receipt. Custom order instruments, preorders, or instruments customized or modified at the customer’s request are eligible for store credit only. The instrument must be returned in the original condition in which it left All Strings Nylon to qualify for the full refund or full store credit. We thoroughly inspect all instruments for cosmetic imperfections and playability, and then carefully pack them to ensure they arrive undamaged. Please save all packing materials so they are available to appropriately pack your instrument if you decide to return it. Returned merchandise is the responsibility of the buyer until received and inspected by ASN, so please make sure you fully insure it for its full value.

All Other Items

We will accept returns of unopened items (except musical instruments) within 30 days of order receipt by the Customer. Both the product and packaging must be in unused/resalable condition unless the product is defective. Customers are responsible for the cost of return shipping except for defective items. We will cover the return shipping of all defective items returned to us.

If an Item Arrived Damaged

If, despite our careful packing, any item in your order arrives damaged, please notify us immediately. We will work with you to begin the insurance claim process. The carrier will verify the damage at your location. Please save the box and all packing materials. This is very important! Do not modify the box. Do not attempt to return the item to us.

Once we have initiated the insurance claim process we will make arrangements to ship out a replacement at no cost to you. The insurance company will make a determination whether to collect the item or return it to us. We will send you a pre-paid return label if the item needs to be returned to us. If we are out of stock of your item, you will have the option to wait for a replacement of the same item or we will apply a credit to you towards another item in stock of equal or greater value. In case of a damaged one-of-a-kind instrument, once we’re done crying, we will present to you other instrument choices available at the time.

If We Messed Up

In the rare event we shipped you the wrong item, we apologize profusely in advance. We will ship you the correct item without delay, at no extra cost to you. We’ll also send you a prepaid shipping label so you can return the wrong item.
